AFFA was completed as my dissertation for the final part of my Industrial Design degree.
Working in partnership with the Royal National Institute for Deaf people AFFA was designed. After extensive research it was discovered that the pitch of regular fire alarms can be too high for people who have hearing loss.
Taking into consideration a wide variety of hearing losses AFFA allows the user to adjust the pitch of the alarm to best suit their hearing ability. Feel free to read through my final project and view the images of final working wireless prototypes.
